Catching Up… Kinda.

Been a while but since I posted but a lot of fun and interesting stuff has happened in the last few weeks. Lots has gone on since the last time I posted. Here are some updates.

I was really into this years Super Bowl. Both teams have long history in the league & were very entertaining during the regular season. I was not really a big Aaron Rodgers fan until this game. That dude is a baller. I was afraid that the game was going to be a blow out but the Steelers made a game of it. It was by far one of the more memorable Super Bowls of the recent past in my opinion. Something told me that the Packers had it in them all year, even through all the crazy injuries they suffered. I was glad to see such a great game, and did not care who won. But the Packers really did impress me.

I’m not like some people that I know that think they get more than a day to celebrate their birthday… but this year my week rocked, kinda. Hail to the Redskins!

Hail VICTORY! Fuck yeah. Today was awesome. I was having withdrawls from not being able to go to the stadium for the third week in a row, so I got to tailgate and watch the game with my buddies Mark and Mike. The Redskins looked pretty good today, handing the Cowboys their first loss of the season. That means the Skins have won 3 games in in a row. FUCK YEAH!

The Redskins started the game with a nice drive but ended up punting and then went down 7. The rest of the game was close and came down to Campbell kneeling to seal the win for the third week in a row! We ended up taking the Victory 26-24!@#! Came down to an onside kick too. Close! The offense has really started to click lately it seems and we are on a roll after losing the first game. We are going into Philly next week, which is sure to be a tough game.

I have had some down time this weekend and have been able to catch up on some of my favorite TV shows. I finished season 4 of Weeds, and season 2 of Heroes. I also watched the latest two episodes of Heroes which are pretty kewl. I really like… Continue Reading

Bestest Night Evar (since the last time I said that)

Wow. Super super fucking fun night! So I mentioned getting tickets to the advance showing of the new Batman movie, the Dark Knight. Knowing we had a crew of people going to see the flick we set out of work early (hey! – we deserve it!) on a pre-movie adventure. Sure, we might have taken a wrong turn (whoops) but we made it before everyone else. Sat down, ordered some drinks and by the time we were half way done, Mark and Krysta showed up. Then Libby, then Ann, then Andrea. Yay meeting new people.

Got more drinks, moved to a table and ordered some grub. Luckily, Krysta had a friend in the restaurant that had gotten a work email saying they had to change the venue for the showing. FUCK! So we are on the other side of the county and find this important nugget of information out about 10 minutes after six. Mind you, were supposed to be at the theater to get tickets at 6:30. So we gotta bust arses now. BOO! Seriously, how do you muff that one? FUUUMBLE!!!

“Semi-Pro” — full-time laughs!

I just returned home from a private screening of the new Will Ferrell movie, Semi-Pro, that was held by my work at a local theater. They issued a limited amount of tickets for employees and a guest to attend the show. They had a small raffle to give away prizes. We even got free popcorn and soda!

Semi-pro is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a while. From the very beginning I was laughing my ass off. The opening song was hilarious. The jokes were very dirty. There were some decent stars in it too, Woody Harrelson, Andre 3000 and Andy Richter. If you want to laugh, you need to see this movie.

Saw a bunch of buddies from work, and met a few new people. Good times.

Slipknot Wins a Grammy

I just wanted to extend congrats to Slipknot for winning the Grammy for Best Heavy Metal Performance on Wednesday night.

Slipknot has been nominated in the “Best Metal Performance” category for six consecutive years, but never took home the Grammy until now.
