Zoinks yo. Last week or so has been bonkers. My sister’s wedding was fabulous. The reception was good fun and it was so nice to see people I hadn’t seen in years. Really was glad to see that the day went so well. At least it went better than Sunday. Damn Redskins.

Tailgating was fun. We switched it up and did cold sammiches instead of BBQ. Good stuff. The game was craptastic. The Rams had not won a game all season, and they beat us in the last seconds by kicking a field goal. Fuckers only scored 12 points on FG kicks. To think how bad the score could have been if those were 4 touchdowns, not so shitty. But come on. 0-4 team makes our last two wins against division rivals seem like nothing. Dammit.

Went and saw The Autumn Offering and Mushroomhead on Wednesday. That was pretty tight. I needed a night to leave the house and just let it all out. Mission accomplished. I had not seen TAO before, and have seen MH many times. Every time they perform a killer show. This time was not to disappoint. The crowd was mad into it and they were feeding off of it. They had to end 2 songs early cuz some drum equipment broke, but they hung out and got fucked up with us afterwards. Good times.

Work has been going well, aside from being entirely too busy. I also have had a lot on my mind that has distracted me but I need to forget about it and just try to focus on the task at hand. Easier said then done, however. Every time I think about it, I feel more and more like a dumbass. But it’s okay. You live and you learn. Besides, I am really starting to get used to things not going my way. So what more should I expect?!

I am so looking forward to the weekend. I am going to see GWAR which is always a good time. Plus I don’t have to work… I hope…. Just get drunk, play video games, and get fake blood squirted at me by freaks dressed up in giant alien costumes and shit.

Now listening to: “You can’t always get what you want” by the Rolling Stones

You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need, ah yes…

Today was the day that my baby sister got married. I had the pleasure and honor to be the man of honor, since she did not have a bride’s maid. The ceremony was beautiful. Being there, by her side, to share her most special moment was the best feeling in the world. Many of our family friends made it out. It was so great to catch up with everyone. We all seemed to enjoy the ceremony and reception that followed it. Some of us even tried our best to get freaky on the dance floor. Hehe.

I had to give a brief speech and had my sister crying. I almost got her husband crying too with my words about welcoming him to the family. I had people come to me afterward to tell me how moved they were by my words. I used what I had written for the first bit, but then went into “heart mode” and just talked honestly. It ended up being a home run. Go me!

I am so proud of my baby sister. She touches my heart is so many ways. I am so fucking happy to be her big brother!

Hope all you out there in my imaginary world had as good a Friday as I did…

I did not get to watch much of the NCAA Football from Saturday but I was able to DVR some of the games and man, there were some good ones. The Virginia Cavaliers whopped up on the Maryland Terps, and Ohio State won a close one against Wisconsin. There were some pretty big blow-outs too. But the biggest upset of the night was not even in NCAA Football.

Kimbo Slice, internet Street Fighting sensation turned MMA “superstar” got his shit handed to him on Saturday night. CBS Saturday Night Fights was set to showcase Kimbo for the second time. However, not as they had intended.

On October 4, 2008, a Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock was supposed to take place at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida as part of CBS’ “Saturday Night Fights”. However, Seth Petruzelli replaced Shamrock due to a training injury cut to the left eye that was sustained during a warm up only hours before the fight was to take place. In what was seen as a major upset by the ringside announcers (as well as most MMA commentators), Petruzelli defeated Slice by TKO 14 seconds into the first round of the bout.

The kid caught him on the eye with a jab and Kimbo fell like a sack of potatoes. The kid just kept wailing on him and the ref called the bout. I thought it was pretty funny that Kimbo has been trying to be such a badass. At the weigh-in, he turned his back to Ken Shamrock, which was a total bitch move. And right before the fight with Petruzelli, Seth put his fist out to acknowledge his sportsmanship. Kimbo just walked away. And then got beat. He was talking it off like - its all good… but it’s really not. He is being called the biggest fraud in professional fighting and there is no way he is going to be taken seriously again. It sure was awesome to see though!

PS: Gina Carano is sooo fucking hot. Zoinks yo!

That was not all the ass-kicking that was going to get dished out on this Hardcore weekend. The Redskins continue to impress by beating the shit out of the Eagles. The Eagals went up 14-0 on a nice TD drive and a BAAAAD call by the officials on a punt return within the span of a minute. It looked like the game was going to be a wash. But then the ‘Skins sissy slapped those bitches for the rest of the game. The Eagles did not score again until there were only 7 minutes left in the game. At that time, it was already too late. The ‘Skins nailed a couple of field goals, got a TD from Portis. Randle El even threw a TD to Cooley. Shit was awesome.

4-1 at this point in the season feels so nice. Our next three games are against opponents with a combined record of 1-10. We have a strong possibility of being 7-1 at the half way point of the season. It also kicks ass that we got all of our road games against division opponents completed by week 5. Sure, we lost to the Giants, but they are the Champs. Beating the Eagles and Cowboys is way fucking kewler. We will beat the Giants when they come to our house. Until then, the rest of the NFC East can kiss our 4-1 asses!

MUAHAHAHAHA.
