The Amazing Run Is Over…
Welp, like they say “good things must come to an end.” And so it was, the most awesome season in recent years for the Capitals is now over. I was lucky enough to attend game seven, and it was a great experience. One I will not forget for a long time to come…
First off, the house was packed. Our seats were in the VERY, LAST, ROW of the arena. We had the wall to our backs. I thought the view would have been worse, but it was pretty nice for paying $60 to attend a playoff game. Let alone, a game seven! The Caps went up early on a Backstrom goal and the game ended up tied at the end of the first period.
The second was scoreless until about halfway through when the Flyers got a go ahead goal on a fuckin’ bad call gift by the referees. There were some really poor calls against the Capitals tonight! I really wished the game was settled by the players and not the officials. There were more bad calls throughout the period.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOO. REF YOU SUCK! REF YOU SUCK!” we chanted…

We’re Going to Game SEVEN!!!!
WOOOW. I hate to keep posting about the same ol’ shit, but the Capitals FUCKING RULE!!! Tonight they went down early, 2-0. The chances of the Capitals forcing game seven were slipping. But the boys stepped up HUGE tonight and ganked another win from the Flyers, to force what every hockey fan loves.
GAME SEVEN!!!!
Alex Ovechkin is one hell of a hockey player. He really had a clutch third period and scored the last two of the Capitals four un-answered goals. There was hard hitting again in this match and the Capitals just man-handled them in the long run. Huet had another great game and Nick Backstrom had an awesome goal in the second.
I have only been to a few live hockey games in my day, but I am going to game seven of the series and quite possibly the most important playoff game in Capitals history. Wahoo!!
LETS GO CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Capitals Hang On!
Wow. What a great game. I was not able to catch it live, but thank to muh DVR I got to watch it when I got home from my tattoo appointment. Gotta love technology! HEHE.
The Caps looked like a totally different team. They came out hitting. HARD! They crushed Philly for the first two periods of the game and went into the third with a 2-1 lead. Philly was coming hard in the last period. We took a commanding 3-1 lead in the third. The Flyers then got a goal to make the game 3-2 and then the Caps fans started to get wild.
The atmosphere must have been amazing in that arena. There were lots of hits, lots of shots, and lots of amazing saves in the last 5 minutes of the game. The Capitals held on to take the game 3-2. Now, they face game six up in Philly. If they can hold on to win that game, they will come back home for game 7.
We have tickets for what will be game 7. If they force it, I will be there. I am getting goosebumps right now thinking about being there in the “Red Sea” that the fans have created in the playoff push. Here’s hoping that we… Continue Reading

Capitals Steal Game One!
I know it’s game one. I know that they play seven game series in the NHL. But tonight, was the first game the Capitals played in nearly five years to the day. Sergei Fedorov is the only player on the team to have a Championship. And he joined the team at the trade deadline. I find that incredible.
This evening, the boys showed that they are growing up. After a tied 1-1 first period, the Caps found themselves down 4-2 at the end of the second. The momentum was gone, and the game seemed pretty much over. I tell you what… I’m glad I didn’t give up on the game.
Mike Green scored two HUGE third period goals and Alex Ovechkin (aka MVP) stole a pass in the offensive zone and popped a game winner into the five hole with 4 minutes and 30 seconds remaining. It was awesome to see him get his first playoff goal on such a huge play. This kid is for real.
I am super stoked to see these boys play. I hope they can keep it going and steal the Cup. Muahahahaha!

Washington Capitals are Division Champs! Woohoo!
When Bruce Boudreau took over the reins of the Caps on Nov. 22, the Caps were already 14 points behind the Carolina Hurricanes for the Southeast Division lead. With Saturday’s win over the Panthers, the Caps completed an improbable comeback and became the first team in the 30-team era of the NHL’s history to go from 14th or 15th place in their conference to a playoff spot.
I am not the biggest hockey fan in the world, but watching the Washington Capitals this last few weeks has gotten me into hockey a LOT! They have surged in the last leg of the season to capture their first Southeast Division title since 2000-2001. Their fourth in team history. First playoff appearance since 2003. In their last 20 games, they went 15-4-1. And this kid Alex [The Great 8] Ovechkin… is amazing.
Ovechkin is the NHL’s first 60-goal scorer since Pittsburgh’s Mario Lemieux (69) and Jaromir Jagr (62) in 1995-96. He also has set the NHL record for most goals in a season by a left wing, passing Luc Robitaille (63). he is poised to capture the Art Ross (points leader) & Maurice Richard (goal-scoring leader) trophies.
Awesome awesome awesome. Go Caps!! I am hoping to get tix to a playoff game. Wooohoooo. Rock the… Continue Reading
My Wrestlemania Experience
I went to Wrestlemania this year. It was awesome. Quite a crazy experience. My buddy and I flew to Jacksonville Florida and chilled for a few days with my good friend that moved down there a few months ago. He let us chill there and play video games and watch Metalacolypse dvds. BRUTAL!!
Then we drove to Orlando on Sunday afternoon. The weather was looking kind of shitty but it held up for the most part throughout the night. Definitely happy about that… The place was a madhouse. The attendance was nearly 75,000, the most in Citrus Bowl history. We waited in line for shirts for nearly an hour before we finally got em. Bah!
We had AWESOME seats. We were on the ground floor, prolly a hundred or so feet from the ring! Right smack between two steel structures that were used to hoist the lighting above the ring. We could see all of the action that took place in the ring!! There were lots of good matches. We saw WWE history too. Ric Flair has been wrestling for 36 years and lost his last match. That was pretty cool to see. I was hoping that HHH woulda beat the shit out of Orton. The ladder match was hella cool. The Diva… Continue Reading
